Ways to pay

Paying your rent with Equity Housing Group is easy; we make as many options available to our customers as possible. With Equity Housing Group you can pay your rent by:

  • Direct debit (any day/any frequency)
  • Telephone payment (24 hours a day)
  • Payment card
  • Smartphone app

Remember, rent must be paid in advance. This includes customers who receive housing benefit who may need to address arrears between payments.

Did you know we run regular incentives for customers who pay by direct debit, a safe and convenient option.

From 1 January 2020, we will no longer be taking rent payments in the Customer Solutions Team.

There are various other ways of making a payment, including Direct Debit, Standing Order or using the automated payment line by calling our usual number 0300 1234460, and pressing Option 1.

You can ‘credit’ your rent account by taking your card and making a payment at any ‘Paypoint’ outlet, outlets near to you can be found by clicking here  or any 'Payzone' outlet, outlets near to you can be found by clicking here

Insurance

Many customers believe that Equity Housing Group automatically insure their furniture, belongings and decorations against fire, theft, vandalism or water damage such as burst pipes, this is not the case.

Unfortunately some customers only realise this after the damage has been done. We make it easy for you to insure your belongings under a special household contents insurance scheme. The insurance is arranged with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc and is available only to Equity Housing Group customers.
